Smart privacy
This patented coding system ensures the cord runs outside the slats, allowing more complete closure therefore doesn’t require slat punch holes for operating cords.
Tape
Our tape blinds incorporate a strip of fabric that runs down each side of the blind, forming part of the ladder that holds the slats covering the little holes in the slats that the cords run through.

FAQs for our Blinds Range
How deep does my window recess need to be for blinds?
The ideal depth depends on the style of blind you choose, but as a guide most made to measure blinds need a recess of around five to ten centimetres. This gives enough space for the brackets and fabric so the blind can sit neatly and work smoothly inside the window.
Does the size of my recess affect which blinds I can have?
Yes, the depth of the recess can limit or expand your options. Very shallow recesses usually suit roller, pleated or cellular blinds because they require less space. Deeper recesses give you more flexibility and are suitable for almost every type of blind.
Which blinds work best in a bay window?
Most blind styles can be fitted in bay windows, including vertical, venetian, roller and roman blinds. The key consideration is the depth of the recess and how the blinds will move so that they clear handles and allow easy access to the window. At survey stage we recommend the blind style that will fit and operate best for your bay.
What do top fix and face fix mean for blinds?
Top fixing means the blind is fitted to the top of the recess or ceiling so the blind sits inside the window opening for a clean built in look and better light control. Face fixing means the blind is fitted to the wall or to the front of the window frame, which is ideal when there is little or no recess depth or when you need to clear handles and other obstructions.
Do you supply blind fabric samples?
Yes, once we have measured and quoted for your blinds we can arrange fabric samples for the blind type you are interested in so that you can see colours and textures in your own home.
Can I change my blind order after I have confirmed it?
Because our blinds are made to measure and produced to your exact sizes, we cannot amend an order once it has been placed with the manufacturer. For this reason we always check every detail with you before you give final approval.
Can you replace broken blinds?
In many cases we can replace blinds that have been damaged or have reached the end of their life. Our team will advise whether it is more practical to repair or to install new made to measure blinds.
Do you offer blinds that improve insulation?
Yes, several blind styles help to reduce heat loss and improve comfort. Cellular blinds are particularly effective because the honeycomb structure traps air and creates an insulating layer. Roman and roller blinds can also be supplied with thermal linings to give extra warmth and help reduce draughts.
What happens if I miss my blind installation appointment?
If you are not able to be at home for your scheduled fitting, simply contact us by phone or email and we will arrange another convenient date for your blind installation.
Will you fit blinds that I have bought elsewhere?
We only install blinds that have been supplied by London Interior Blinds. This allows us to guarantee the quality, fit and operation of every blind we install.
What is a window recess and how do I measure it?
The recess is the space where the window sits within the wall. It is measured from the inside surface of the wall through to the glass. Accurate recess measurements help us decide whether your blinds should be fitted inside the opening or on the face of the wall.
Do you offer supply only blinds?
Yes, we can provide supply only blinds. You will still benefit from our product advice and measuring guidance while arranging your own fitting.
What is the difference between dim out and blackout blinds?
Dim out fabrics soften daylight and give good privacy while still allowing a gentle glow into the room, which makes them ideal for living spaces and offices. Blackout fabrics block far more light, giving maximum privacy and a much darker room, which is perfect for bedrooms, nurseries and media rooms.
Are your blinds child safe?
Yes, all blinds supplied by London Interior Blinds comply with current child safety regulations. We use safety devices and cord control systems designed to reduce risk and our installers make sure each blind is fitted in a safe way.
Do I need to remove my old blinds before you fit the new ones?
No, our fitters can remove your existing blinds as part of the installation service. If there is anything you would like to keep, simply let the installer know before work begins.
